GREAT MEMORIES (JA)
1978 - #Dyna OK 2456 / Dyna OK 2457
|
- Love Hits (Osbourne Kirkland The High Priest)
- Version
|
A. Love Hits
Produced by Osbourne Kirkland
This is a peculiar one. In 2010 Kiss Me Neck already makes mention of this release, as a possbile Lee Perry production.
Its rhythm is only recently discovered to be part of the JA issue Many Moods Of The Upsetter titled Equalizer.
More so interesting is that these two tracks, both on the same rhythm, had a make-over in 1978 when they were released by the same Osbourne Kirkland, here known as The High Priest. Both songs; Manchoneal Jail House Wall and Love Hits have an overall Black Ark feel to it, but not as much as you would expect from a 1978 release.
